Romans 10:10

Scripture:

Romans 10:10  "…for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." (NASB)

Observation:

You could tell by how the salesman spoke. He didn't believe his sales pitch either! Ever run into a salesman who seems less interested in selling you his product, but more interested in something else? Today's verse is kind of a road map for us. It speaks about believing and the results ending with salvation. The salesman's words were flat. It was if he didn't believe in his product, so he ultimately failed to make the sale.

I couldn't help but think that sometimes we share Christ that way. We need to believe in Him wholeheartedly and what He has accomplished for us. If not, maybe we should keep our mouths shut because, like the salesman with the bad attitude, we can do more harm than good. I would never buy the product he was trying to sell and people won't come to know Jesus Christ as Lord if our hearts are not in it.

Application:

1) Think about what you just read.

2) Ask the Holy Spirit for clarity and insight.

3) Share this with someone who would benefit from reading it.

4) Make sure others see Jesus in YOU today.
