2 Kings 20:1

Scripture:

2 Kings 20:1  "In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord, ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.’” (NASB)

Observation:

I wasn't sure if they knew something I didn't! For the last few weeks, I have been getting notices about getting my finances in order, and then in my personal studies of His Word, I came across today's verse. It speaks about getting your house in order for you shall die and not live! If we think about it, that goes for all of us, one day we will all die, unless the Lord comes back sooner than that! At the same time, I was getting notices that some of my internet domains were about to expire and I needed to renew them. I took the time to go over things, like getting my house in order and renewing those things that needed to be renewed. Maybe we need to think about renewing our commitment to Christ as well. Am I maturing in Him or just going through the motions? Tough question. But from time to time we need to get our house in order. How's yours?

Application:

1) Think about what you just read.

2) Ask the Holy Spirit for clarity and insight.

3) Share this with someone who would benefit from reading it.

4) Make sure others see Jesus in YOU today.
