Hebrews 11:6

Scripture:

Hebrews 11:6  "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him." (NASB)

Observation:

“Trust me, just let go and I'll catch you!” I remember as a young boy, climbing high into the tree in our backyard but once I got up there, I was stuck! Today's verse speaks about faith and how it is hard to serve God without it. Now my dad is not God by any imagination but to a young boy, our dads are kind of like god! (notice the small "g") I know my dad had my best interest at heart but asking me to let go of the tree limb and fall into his arms was a test of my faith in him. It took a while for me to get the courage to let go but once I did, I found myself in the arms of a loving father!

That's how life is with God, He asks us to trust Him, to let go of the things we are holding onto and just let Him catch us. It was scary for a young boy to let go and believe but isn't that really what faith is all about! When was the last time you let go and let God catch you? Maybe today's the day!
