Ephesians 5:33

Scripture:

Ephesians 5:33 (NASB) “Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.”

Observation:

I have a favorite movie called “Galaxy Quest.” It is a spoof on Star Trek. One of the lines in the movie is, “Never give up, never surrender.” It is some great advice for those times when we can’t seem to relate to someone else and things seem impossible. Those moments when we just can’t seem to see eye-to-eye. Never giving up and never surrendering to the power to walk out of a relationship is a great thing to remember.

When we give up and give in to separation, we are allowing Satan to win and love to lose and not prevail. We must devote ourselves to celebrating differences…finding those little things that make us different can be a source of joy and refreshment. Imagine if we were all the same. How boring would that be? God made us different for a reason, and that is a reason to celebrate.

Application:

1) Think about what you just read.

2) Ask the Holy Spirit for clarity and insight.

3) Share this with someone who would benefit from reading it.

4) Make sure others see Jesus in YOU today.
