Read Matthew 8:16-17 – When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.”
Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers.
Jesus healed the sick in the places where he ministered. It was an integral part of what He did. Around Him was a society that had little available medical access. Even for those who had access, medical practice at that time was limited in its depth. People suffered and died because of sickness. People of Jesus’ day were helpless to the ravaging effect of sickness and disease. Jesus brought the good news, "I will take your infirmities and carry your diseases!" Would He do any less today? Absolutely not! His desire is for you to be healed and made whole today! Reach your hand up now and by faith declare God's healing provision for your life! In the mighty Name of Jesus we believe with you for the work to be made complete today! Amen!
