Read James 5:14-16 – Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers.
There is no power in the ceremony of prayer! There is no potency in the oil used to pray for the sick! But there is provision in the faith behind your prayer! Your faith only has to be strong enough to believe the Word of God and act upon that belief. God doesn't demand that you understand it, but believe it! If the doctor says you have a sickness and you believe it then have as much faith in God that He wants to heal you and that He can heal you! He declares your prayers to be powerful and effective.
