Read Nehemiah 13:22 – And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should go and guard the gates, to sanctify the Sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of Your mercy! (NKJV)
Nehemiah had just challenged the people to observe the Sabbath. His decision was not popular but necessary. He then asked God to remember him because of his commitment to wholly follow the Lord. He knew there would be some people who were not happy with his decision. There will be times when you will need to challenge family and friends to walk in obedience to the Word. Those will be tough decisions to make and implement. Always commit those times to God in prayer. Ask God for His mercy and grace to see you through.
