Read Matthew 28:6 – He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The scriptures declare His substitutionary work on the cross.
The resurrection is a historical fact. Any court of law would declare its reality and the fact that it had to have happened. He was seen by Mary, the disciples and over five hundred other people before his ascension. Those who put him in the grave were not able to produce one single proof of a body stolen other than they did not have a body. This proves again that if He was not in the grave then He was raised as witnesses have declared. If the resurrection is not true then all we believe and base our Christianity upon crumbles. As the old hymn goes, "He lives! He lives! Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way. He lives! He lives! Salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart."
