Read Romans 12:1-2 – Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God.
The Spirit separates us from the sin that condemns us. Like the surgeon who removes the life killing cancer from our bodies, God removes sin from our lives. At the new birth we are placed in Christ by the Holy Spirit. We are in Him and share in His death and resurrection. Our position is in Him which separates us from the sin that dominated our lives and judged us with death. No more can sins effect affect our destiny. I have been saved by His sacrificial death, justified by His miraculous resurrection and sanctified by these acts. The cry of my sanctified life is, “Free at last, yes, thank God, I am free at last!”
