Scripture:
Titus 2:12 “…instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age…” (NASB)
Observation:
It’s Day 5 of “Victory Over Addiction” and I pray that our journey is leading us to where we find the Victory is in Christ and other godly brothers! I remember looking in the mirror and asking myself, “How would I feel if someone else spoke to my wife that way?” My addiction to anger had taken over my life and if I wanted the victory found in Christ, I had to admit a few things about myself. I needed to look in that mirror and be honest with where I was as a man.
Today’s verse speaks about changing our lifestyle from one of addiction to the world to one of living a godly life. My actions, my addiction, was not bringing God glory or sharing the love of Christ with others. To win the total victory, we will have to change a few things in our life, change our way of thinking, change the group we hang out with, change our behavioral habits and begin to live as Christ.
Application:
1) Think about what you just read.
2) Ask the Holy Spirit for clarity and insight.
3) Share this with someone who would benefit from reading it.
4) Make sure others see Jesus in YOU today.
