Romans 12:2

Scripture:

Romans 12:2  “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” (NASB)

Observation:

Only we know what we are about. What I mean is, when we are alone and no one else is around, that’s when we find out if we truly know and live for Jesus Christ. I am not a world traveler by any sense of the word. In fact, I’m not even an out-of-state kind of guy. My life is lived within about 100 square miles. So, when I do travel long distance, that is when I see another side of me.

Am I the same servant of Christ when no one knows me? Do I hold tight to His Ways, or am I the kind of guy who just talks the talk and walks the walk when it’s easy. Am I ashamed to pull out my Bible in public, or is it just for Sunday morning service? If I see someone in need do I offer help, or do I hide. If I have been transformed deep inside, the answers to those questions are obvious. However, if I have not buried His Word deep within me and learned what it really means to be a follower of Christ, then I really don’t know what it means to live for Jesus. Walking with Christ is a day-to-day thing. If He lives IN us, we must live Him OUT in our lives. Are you?

Application:

1) Think about what you just read.

2) Ask the Holy Spirit for clarity and insight.

3) Share this with someone who would benefit from reading it.

4) Make sure others see Jesus in YOU today.
