Revelation 14:12

Scripture:

Revelation 14:12  “Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.” (NASB)

Observation:

"Order Arms!" Anyone who has served knows what it means. It is the time you raise your hand to your brow in a salute as you stand at full attention. Thousands lined the streets to pay tribute to the loss of a police officer. I have seen it done too many times, and even stood alongside many of my brothers and sisters in the fire department, and despite the inclement weather or the heat of the day, they stand dedicated to show their support.

Today's verse is a call. A call to the saints to endure for the cause of Christ and our faith in Him. Your legs become sore from standing. Sometimes your arm cramps up. The rain beats against your face, but you stand willing to go through whatever it takes to share your dedication to the life of a fallen comrade. How far are we willing to go to endure for Jesus Christ? Are we willing to stand despite the ridicule of some…despite the name-calling, the loss of friendships, even the loss of family? God’s Word calls us to "order arms" for Christ. Don't give up the battle. He’s fighting for us!
