Scripture:
Ecclesiastes 3:4 “A time to weep and a time to laugh; A time to mourn and a time to dance.” (NASB)
Observation:
We all have those days. Days that you will never forget. When the things of life seem to take you on a roller coaster of emotions. You spend time thinking of a loved one taken too early, a time when you rejoice with friends, or a time of loss. Then the day finally ends and you think to yourself, “Wow. What a bad day?”
Today's verse says there’s a time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance. You realize that through it all, God was there. We may not always understand why and how God works, but He is in control. Sometimes not being in control frustrates us and causes us to question why. It is during those times that we must submit to Him—above the weeping, the laughter, the mourning and the dancing—and thank Him for being in complete control. For in all of those moments, it is His love for us that truly sustains us. Whatever you're going through, remember His love. It helps when things seem out of control.
Application:
1) Think about what you just read.
2) Ask the Holy Spirit for clarity and insight.
3) Share this with someone who would benefit from reading it.
4) Make sure others see Jesus in YOU today.
