Romans 8:38-39

Scripture:

Romans 8:38-39  “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (NASB)

Observation:

I was miles and miles away from home, and yet, there was a closeness I had with my wife. While attending bomb school for the fire department, I had to travel many miles and states away from where my wife and I called home. At the end of the night, we always called each other to touch base and to share how life was going. This night, I asked her to step outside and look up at the moon as I did where I was. Even though we were miles apart, we were together looking at the same moon.

Today's verse speaks that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Be sure to check out the list, it's a long one, and none of it can keep us from Jesus Christ. That's if we choose to have Him as a part of our life. Even though my wife and I were looking at the same moon miles apart, it brought a feeling that we weren't that far apart. There was something special about keeping each other close, just as keeping Christ in our lives is something very special. Do we choose to have Christ in our lives, and if so, do we look at things as He does?
