2 Corinthians 13:14

Scripture:

2 Corinthians 13:14 “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.” (NASB)

Observation:

I am sure you have heard that marriage is a 50/50 partnership. Well, the reality is that marriage is a 100/100 partnership with each giving a 100% to make it work. Today’s verse shares about Jesus Christ, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit all working together with us - three in one - working together. There was a time in our marriage when I felt that I was giving more than my share, and then there was a time when I knew I was not. Finding the balance of 50/50 was never going to take our marriage to where God wanted it to be. Nope - it was going to take 100% on my part no matter what percentage she was giving and vice versa. You see, if we men are to love our wives as Christ loves the church, then we must be willing to go all the way like Christ going to the cross. Christ went all the way knowing that who He was going for would fail at times, would miss the mark at times, and would on some days, give less than 100%. So I pray we take a serious look at our marriages, our relationships, and really mean I DO for better AND for worse.

Application:

• Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love. 
• Family Devotional: Read this chapter to your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them as you read. Talk about their answers and show them that one important aspect of this chapter is that we must continue to spend time with the Lord and keep our hearts focused on His plans and purposes. Pray for them.
