Read Exodus 12:33-36 – And the Egyptians urged the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste. For they said, “We shall all be dead.” So the people took their dough before it was leavened, having their kneading bowls bound up in their clothes on their shoulders. Now the children of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing. And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians. (NKJV)
Ever feel like everyone’s against you? As slaves to the Egyptians for more than four centuries, life couldn’t get much more difficult, but now how God has turned the tables! After the overwhelming plagues that God sent on Egypt, the Egyptians are now begging the Israelites to leave and even glad to pay them to do it. If God can turn things toward the favor of His people like this, surely we can patiently trust Him to bring justice and a new future for us. Taking matters into our own hands seldom proves effective, but waiting on God can bring the longed for result. Don’t ever think that God can’t bring justice to your difficult circumstances. He has turned the tide in much more overwhelming moments than yours.
