Read Romans 5:18-19 – Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
Man was created good and upright; for God said, "Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness." However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.
Where did all the troubles of our world come from? Satan? No, Satan is not responsible for sickness and death! He is the source of it all, but not the reason for it. Every sad moment in our lives is the result of the decision Adam made in the garden. He released in mankind the penalty of sin. Because we are the sons of Adam, we partake in his penalty. Through him we are condemned to death and separation from God. There was no man who ever lived such a good a life that he did not get sick or die. Adam passed on to us a debt we could never pay but through our own death. All the woes of our earth today go back to that terrible decision to disobey God.
Yet God loved us enough that He sent His Son to die in our place and to give us eternal life with Him. We who are born again no longer partake in the penalty of Adam but in the Resurrection of Christ. We now live and abide in Christ!
