Fundamental Truth: The One True God (Part 3)

Read Matthew 28:19 – Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

“The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”

An article in "Clarifying Christianity" quotes Dr. Harold Willmington of Liberty University. He shared an analogy he had heard from his students, comparing the Trinity to a book. For example, a book has length, width and thickness. These three dimensions can be described separately, yet they are connected together. If you remove one dimension, you are no longer describing a book. In the same way, the Godhead has three separate members that are connected together, and if you try to remove one you no longer have a Godhead. The Trinity is simple yet many people miss it. Our God is One God in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit!
