Read Nehemiah 9:4-5 – Then Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani stood on the stairs of the Levites and cried out with a loud voice to the Lord their God. And the Levites, Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said: "Stand up and bless the Lord your God Forever and ever! "Blessed be Your glorious name, Which is exalted above all blessing and praise!” (NKJV)
True worship is a vital part of prayer. As the men participated in this “prayer event” they started with worship – “stand up and bless the Lord.” Worship can be something that is done throughout the day and is not limited to those times when you are in church with the music playing. These men challenged others to bless the Lord forever and ever. In other words, make worship a part of your everyday life. God’s name is worthy to be praised. Praise Him in the morning, praise Him at work, praise Him in the evening. I find that as I worship God throughout the day, the difficulties of the day don’t seem as important.
