Questions from a Wayward Man

Read Ecclesiastes 7:13-15 – Who can straighten what he has made crooked? When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future. In this meaningless life of mine I have seen both of there: a righteous man perishing in his righteousness, and a wicked man living long in his wickedness.

Life is full of twists and turns. We go through an abundance of hills and valleys. If a man looks at the short side of life he will be fooled into believing that life is always a certain way. When a man looks at the long view of life then he sees as God sees. It is not the momentary times that we live for; it is the eternal. The long view shows us more of the direction we are going rather than the path we are tracking. Go the right way in life and pay little attention to the fleeting difficulties of the path. What looks crooked in one part of life is straightened out as we stay on the right path.
