Read Ecclesiastes 2:18-19 – I hated all the things I had toiled for under the sun, because I must leave them to the one who comes after me. And who knows whether he will be a wise man or a fool? Yet he will have control over all the work into which I have poured my effort and skill under the sun. This too is meaningless.
While a man lives he has a certain amount of control over his destiny. His successes and failures are his responsibility. His choices and work ethic determines his wealth or poverty. After a man draws his last breath everything he has worked for is in the hands of another. All that a man has achieved in life is lost in a moment to those who follow. The only thing a man can take with him when he passes is his soul and the souls brought into the Kingdom because of his generosity and work while alive.
