Read Acts 2:4 – All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit enabled them.
The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance.
The speaking in tongues in this instance is similar in essence to the gift of tongues, but is different in purpose and use. The love language of the Holy Spirit is considered by most of us to be the initial physical evidence of the receiving of the Holy Spirit. This physical manifestation of His power is only the beginning of the evidence of Him residing in the life of the believer. What a wonderful experience it is on the day a man is filled with the Holy Spirit and receives his prayer language! It is a moment that a believer will never forget nor would we want to forget!
