Scripture:
2 Timothy 3:16-17 – “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” (NASB)
Observation:
I rebuilt the carb, changed the gas, replaced the spark plugs, and yet it still wouldn’t run. While tuning up an old tiller, I had done everything I thought possible to get the machine to run. After many attempts to get the tiller to show some kind of life, I had to go back to the manual and reread some of the material. After checking the manual, I went back to the machine and tweaked this and that and then it came back to life.
Today's verse speaks of God's Word or His Manual for our life on this earth (and even after this life), but sometimes we forget to check His Manual regarding how best to get our walk back to life, back to really living for what's important. Sure we go on like we are, but maybe, just maybe, if we checked His Manual, we will find those things in our life that need a little tweaking or maybe a lot of tweaking. We'll never know unless we go to His Manual. So when was the last time you spent time in His Manual?
Application:
1) Think about what you just read.
2) Ask the Holy Spirit for clarity and insight.
3) Share this with someone who would benefit from reading it.
4) Make sure others see Jesus in YOU today.
