Matthew 11:28

Scripture:

Matthew 11:28  “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” (NASB)

Observation:

I couldn't wait to get home. While helping my son-in-law outside, it began to rain. All day long it rained, and the mud got deeper. It got so bad that it felt as if I was carrying an extra five pounds on each boot, but we kept going. We had a job to do and wanted to get it done. So we worked through the rain and through the mud, and at the end of the day I was exhausted.

Today's verse is God calling all who are weary, those heavy-laden, to come to Him, and He will give us rest! Once home, I took a hot shower, found my favorite chair, and just sat. It was good to be dry, warm, and at home. That's how it is with God. When the struggles of the day get too heavy, or when the road seems impossible to pass, we can find comfort and rest in the arms of God. What are you waiting for? Take some time and go home to Him. He’s waiting for you.
