Psalms 127:2

Scripture:

Psalms 127:2 (NASB)  “It is vain for you to rise up early, To retire late, To eat the bread of painful labors; For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep.”

Observation:

I have been down this road – where it was all about work and the money. Funny thing, the people that mattered most to me (my wife and children), whom I thought I was loving, were actually the ones who were hurting. I wasn’t helping them by working all those hours; I was hurting them by taking myself out of the picture. What would you rather have: a hundred dollars or a person who cares and loves you?

Sadly, the reality is that some of us say the money. As today’s scripture shares, God will take care of us even when we sleep. The question then becomes how do we take care of the people we love? Do we spend all of our time working to make money or do we spend our time with those we love making memories?

Application:

1) Think about what you just read.

2) Ask the Holy Spirit for clarity and insight.

3) Share this with someone who would benefit from reading it.

4) Make sure others see Jesus in YOU today.
