Philippians 4:19

Scripture:

Philippians 4:19 (NASB) “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

Observation:

I love the fall season not because of the cooler weather, but because most of the new tool catalogs come out. Paging through one recently, I was looking at the tools that I would want to have - this one and that one. Then I began to look at the tools I needed but nothing stood out for I have been blessed. I began to think about today's verse that states God will supply all your needs. “Needs.” Not all my wants, as there's a big difference. I began to think of the difference between needs and wants. What could I really live without, and what do I really need to live.

It's amazing when you sit down and take a good look at the difference. I must be honest; there have been times when I prayed for wants. I'm sure we all have, and I am sure we have prayed for needs as well. The difference is one we can live without and the other we can't. Need versus want -something to think about as we face each day. Maybe God is giving us what we need instead of what we want, and I think He knows best! What about you?

Application:

1) Think about what you just read.

2) Ask the Holy Spirit for clarity and insight.

3) Share this with someone who would benefit from reading it.

4) Make sure others see Jesus in YOU today.
