Read Luke 14:21 – “… So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’” (NKJV)
Jesus tells the story of a wealthy man preparing and inviting people to a banquet. When the special guests turn him down, the wealthy man tells his servants to go into the city and invite those that most people would overlook. The command of that master is the command of our Master. There are people in your city that many churches will overlook, people that no one wants to associate with. Pray and ask God to give you and your church a heart and compassion for those overlooked in your city. Everybody needs to hear the gospel and receive an invitation to become a follower of Jesus.
