Read Matthew 26:18 – And He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, "My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with Mydisciples.”’” (NKJV)
We don’t know why Jesus chose to celebrate the Passover in the city rather than in a rural area. One of the things that I notice in this passage is that whatever Jesus needs in the city, He also has the power to make it happen. Was this man’s house a place Jesus had visited in the past? We don’t know. Whatever the circumstances were, Jesus worked it out so He could use a certain house for His purposes. If Jesus can do it in that city, He can do it in your city. Don’t be afraid to pray and ask God to work in your city and to provide whatever is necessary for that work to move forward.
