Praying for the City

Read Genesis 11:5-7 – But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, "Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." (NKJV)

God made the statement that these people would be able to accomplish almost anything because they were one. There was a unity in the city that gave them power to accomplish the impossible. These people were focused on making a name for themselves. What if we took that same principle of unity and focused it on praying for our city? The Scriptures teach that there is power in unity. Challenge other men to join you in unity and pray for your city. I believe good things will happen in our respective cities as men become focused in prayer.
