Read Exodus 15:6 – Your right hand, O Lord, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O Lord, has dashed the enemy in pieces. (NKJV)
The right hand was the pledge of good faith. Even today in some cultures major deals are sealed with nothing more than a handshake. It is a symbol that a promise will be honored or fulfilled. When God makes a promise, He has the power to keep His promise even if it means destroying His enemies. Pray and express thanksgiving to God that He keeps His promises. As the song expresses, “Great is thy Faithfulness, Great is thy Faithfulness, Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed thy hand hath provided, Great is thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me” (William M. Runyan, “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” original text by Thomas Chisholm, 1923. Hope Publishing Co., 1951).
