Read Acts 16:14 – Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. (NKJV)
Lydia’s heart was open to the gospel because God had opened her heart to the gospel. When you pray for your unsaved friends, ask God to open their hearts to the gospel. No person can come to Christ unless the Spirit draws that person. Be sensitive to changes taking place in the lives of your unsaved friends such as a new job, loss of a job, new baby, etc. Pray specifically that during those times of changes that the Holy Spirit would open that person’s heart to the gospel. Be sensitive to opportunities to share your faith in Christ with them during those times of change. It could be that God is already working in their heart preparing them to receive Christ.
