Read 1 Samuel 12:23 – Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you; but I will teach you the good and the right way. (NKJV)
Samuel stated that he would be sinning against the Lord if he failed to pray for God’s people. Samuel understood the importance of praying for the people God had chosen. The commitment that Samuel made is the commitment that every man needs to make for his family. God has given your family to you as a sacred trust. You are their spiritual leader and head. Praying for your family should be the most important priority of your day. Over the next few Mondays we will explore various ways you can pray for your family.
