While there is nothing wrong with praying in public, Jesus wants us to be sure that our motive for praying is solely to communicate with God. We should not pray to impress men and obviously we don’t pray to impress God. We pray because we have a loving heavenly Father who wants to hear from His children and share His blessings with them. Don’t pray for selfish reasons; pray because we like to communicate with the One who loved us and gave Himself for us.
