Read Isaiah 53:4-5 – Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers.
The Lord wants to heal and has provided for our healing in the atonement. It is by His stripes that we are healed. Healing is available to those who ask and believe. Does every person get healed that asks for healing? We would have to say no to that question. Should we discount what the Word says because we don't see everybody get healed? Absolutely not! The Bible declares the truth, "by His stripes I am healed." The fact that some people are not healed does not override the truth of healing. Too many times we believe in the immediate circumstances at the expense of the truth! The circumstances can change, but the truth is always the same!
