Read Titus 2:13 – While we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the church.
We are waiting on the Coming of the Lord. When Jesus left in the Ascension the angels promised that He was coming back like He left. The Apostles looked for His return daily. They believed as we do today that the return of the Lord is imminent. At any moment He could and will return. Those that have ceased to look for Him will miss him. The man who disregards the important promises of God will be disappointed. It is sad that our world is filled with distractions that take our focus to the point that we are ignoring the promises of God! If you are really looking for Him, are you ready for Him to come? Those who are not ready will be left and those who are looking for Him will see Him at His appearing!
