Read 1 Peter 1:15-16 – But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God.
The Holy Spirit leads us into a life of holiness. The Word of God gives us the fundamentals for living life in this world as a Christian. Without the Holy Spirit's help we would all surely fail in our efforts. He comes alongside us, leads and helps us live holy lives. A man that is full of the Holy Spirit will not have room for the things of the world. A man that is full of the things of the world will have no place for the Holy Spirit. If you want to live a holy life, each morning you must invite Him into your activities. You should then be prepared when He tugs on your heart throughout the day. Be prepared to stop participating in activities you once engaged in. A life yielded to the Holy Spirit will naturally become a holy life before the Lord.
