Read Hebrews 12:14 – Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God.
A man that does not live a consecrated life when Christ has freely given him salvation is unappreciative. You cannot be grateful for a gift of life and yet refuse to live your life for the One who gave life to you. As Christians, our lives are dedicated to the Lord, not the world. We have a mandate to pursue a holy and consecrated life to Christ. How can we declare we belong to Him and not live within His constraints and wishes? How does living with bad habits, attitudes and lack of discipline portray us as men of God? It doesn’t! It describes a man of the world. Seek to live your life for the One who gave His life for you.
