The Prayer Life of a Working Man

Read Luke 2:15, 20 – So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, "Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us." Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them. (NKJV)

Men are generally action oriented. When the shepherds heard the news of Jesus’ birth their immediate response was, “let’s go see”. After they saw, they headed back to their jobs and as they were going, they had a “walking” prayer meeting. Their prayer meeting was simply a time of glorifying and praising God. Men, we can “pray on the run”. We don’t have to be alone or in some quiet place to pray. Give glory to God throughout the day. As we enter the Christmas season give praise to God that He came to earth for our salvation.
