Read Matthew 1:18 – This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
What an incredible miracle and mystery, the birth of Christ! He was born of a virgin who conceived Christ by the Holy Spirit. Who can really comprehend all it means? He existed before His mother, but now comes in the form of a man. He is Emmanuel, God with us! He is totally God and totally man. His birth has stumped nations, rulers and religions. When the scripture says, "this is how the birth of Jesus came about," it does not reveal all, but only what we can understand. There were so many things, which we cannot understand, that brought about His birth. It is a miracle and a mystery, but it is a reality.
What about how you came to be a Christian? It is another miracle that would never have happened except Christ came as a babe, born of a virgin! Have you shared your story? Your conversion experience could be the miracle that produces a miracle in the life of another person! Tell somebody how your “new birth” came about!
