Questions from a Wayward Man

Read Ecclesiastes 7:24-25 – Whatever wisdom may be, it is far off and most profound—who can discover it? So I turned my mind to understand, to investigate and to search out wisdom and the scheme of things and to understand the stupidity of wickedness and the madness of folly.

The events of life can often cause any man to feel foolish. There are days that no matter what we do it seems to be wrong. Wisdom is not something that we are born with; it is something developed by making mistakes. The man who thinks he is wise because he has done nothing wrong is first a man who has accomplished nothing in life. Secondly, he is perhaps the most foolish among us. The man who tries and fails does not fail, but learns what will not work. The more a man fails, the closer he comes to success. Wisdom is found in the trials and errors of living life and correcting the errors. It isn’t that I have always known what is right; I have learned what is right in living life.
