Fight Like a Man

Read 1 Chronicles 12:36-37 – of Asher, those who could go out to war, able to keep battle formation, forty thousand; of the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh, from the other side of the Jordan, one hundred and twenty thousand armed for battle with every kind of weapon of war. (NKJV)

The warriors from the tribe of Asher were famous for their battle formations. They were organized, disciplined and not easily distracted. All three of these elements are essential to “fighting” in prayer. Be organized—that is keep a prayer list. Be disciplined—make prayer a part of your daily life and routine. Often when you pray you get distracted by thinking of other things you need to get done. Keep a notepad handy and write those things down and then finish your prayer time. You can “fight” in prayer like a man.
