Be More Than Married; Be a Husband (Part 2)

Read Ephesians 5:25 – Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.

Many times husbands are like the man who when asked by his wife, “Why don’t you ever tell me you love me?” responded, “I told you I loved you when I married you. If that changes, I will tell you!” A great husband is made not by building himself but by building his bride. You cannot diminish her and not diminish yourself. It is not enough to have walked down an aisle with her to be married. She is not your property because she chose to live with you. She is a precious gift that deserves your kind remarks and acts on a regular basis.
