Read James 5:2-3 – Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes.
Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days.
We have such a ridiculous sense of value. We measure wealth by home appraisals, only to have houses get old, lose value and cause us to be frustrated. Men think gold, stocks, rubies or diamonds will survive the inflation of life. How God must shake His head at our foolishness. The greatest investment in life is to win souls. He said, “He who wins souls is wise.” On the other side, the man that ignores or loses souls in his pursuit of money is foolish.
