Read Luke 4:8 – Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’”

The Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit. If we will put God’s Word in us, we will be armed with the Sword when faced with a battle. If there is no Word in us, then we have nothing to pull out in battle. The man of God is the “sheath” for the Sword of God. When a soldier is faced with an enemy, he will go to the sheath to pull the sword. If he does not put the sword in the sheath before the battle, he will have no weapon. Be sure, as men of God, to put His Word in you daily so you can win the battles in front of you.
