Fundamental Truth: The Baptism in the Holy Spirit (Part 2)

Read Acts 1:4 – On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.”

All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian Church. With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry.

The wait is over! He has arrived right on time! The Holy Spirit has been sent to the Church. He is a promise of the Father. He is a comforter of the believer. He is a helper in time of need. There is no process that needs to be followed, no tarrying somewhere for Him to come to you. He is now waiting on you to come to Him. Man of God, go find a quiet place now and invite Him into your life. Anything that would keep you from letting Him into your life could also keep you out of heaven. Inviting the Holy Spirit into your life is to give Him access to your decisions. When He comes in, He will clean house and free you from the trash that binds your life. Be full of the Holy Spirit today!
